What is Yuji CRI-MAX™ technology？
In all parameters of an LED light, Color Rendering Index (CRI, what is CRI?) plays the most important role because it determines the illumination quality essentially. Since 2013, Yuji has been dedicated to providing outstanding quality LED starting with ultra-high CRI (CRI-MAX) technology, and today Yuji is capable to offer excellent color rendition LED lights with industrial high CRI 99, and Ra 97 (minimum Ra 95), to the industrial and consumer markets.
CRI-MAX™ technology: CRI R9
The standard CRI Ra is the average score of the first eight Test Color Samples (TCS) of Munsell Atlas for CRI calculation, where the 9th for saturated red color (R9) is not included. However, CRI R9 is the typical metric for evaluating red performance of a light source. Even a high CRI led light source with a poor CRI R9 value will perform poorly for red color reproduction.

From the reflectance spectrum curve of TCS-9 below, it is obvious to see starting from 600nm, which is just the beginning of the red color in the visible spectrum, the TCS-9 spectral reflectance raises sharply, in consequence, if the incident light source does not contain sufficient spectral power distribution in 600nm-800nm red light, it will be difficult to get a high value of CRI R9. In other words, the capability of rendering the red color cannot be promised if the red spectral power is missed or not sufficient in the incident light source. However, with Yuji CRI-MAX™ technology, the red spectral power is strongly enhanced and R9 has been boosted dramatically to around 95 for an extraordinary vivid red visual quality.
Comparing a conventional LED light to Yuji CRI-MAX™ LED light at 3000K, the CRI R9 values are significantly different: the CRI R9 value of the conventional LED light is 13 while Yuji CRI-MAX™ LED light is 96.

Conventional LED lights on the market are generally available in the CCT range of 2700K-6500K, and high CRI LED lights are limited to fewer options, yet Yuji CRI-MAX™ series LED lights are available in an extended range from 1800K to 20000K with the unique phosphor solutions, maintaining a high CRI above 92 to 97 and excellent spectral qualities. Moreover, looking into the specific Ri (i=1-15) at each CCT, the color rendition of all 15 Ri is simultaneously enhanced without significant contrasts between each other, even for the extreme CCTs.
