Melanopic Daylight Efficacy Ratio (m-DER)
More than color temperature
m-DER describes how effectively different light sources can wake up your brain, improve your productivity, or step into relaxation and help to sleep in various lighting scenes compared with how well Daylight 6500K can do.

Compared with color temperature, m-DER is an effective and practical reference to evaluate the proper light source in specific scenes for certain lighting purposes by avoiding metamerism when measuring only by Kelvin.
Melanopic Equivalent Daylight Illuminance (m-EDI)
“Non-visual biological lux”
Measured at eye level positions, m-EDI describes how much daylight-strength the light source delivers to your body-clock which is central to affecting human behaviors.

Though measured in lux as well, m-EDI reflects the non-visual biological effect rather than the visual illuminance.

Yuji Lighting follows the scientific evidence of melanopic lighting metrics and specifies the parameters in the product documents, ensuring rigorous lighting design.
Suited to variable applications, benefit from extended m-DER from Yuji Lighting
Create the right m-EDI
m-EDI shall be cared and controlled following different scenes at different time, the references propose specific to a typical 32-year old, and Yuji Lighting can adjust the lighting specifications with the correction factors for specific projects with its extended m-DER products.
